You Got Served

You got served is about a group of friends who are very talented street dancers. David (Omarion) and Elgin (Marques Houston) direct the best, talented unstoppable dance crew in Los Angeles, California. The Crew battle against other crews in a warehouse owned by Mr. Rad (Steve Harvey). The crew has always won every battle, however when a member of the group, Sonny (Young Rome) betrays them and decides to join another group, he steals his original crews' moves and teaches to his new crew, resulting with Davids and Elgins crew first ever lost.

David and Elgin need a large amount of money so the decide to do a drug deal with the top drug "Lord" Emerald (Michael Taliferro), however David does not turn up, and leaves Elgin to do it on his own. Elgin gets robbed and seriously injured, with all the drugs missing. The crew then splits up, and they both try to make there own crew. A friend who was also part of the crew, Rico (J-Boog) tells David and Elgin about the "Big Bounce," a $50,000 dance competition sponsored by MTV which will provide the winning crew the opportunity to perform in a Lil' Kim video.

At the comepetion, Elgin's crew beats Davids crew. David leaves and goes to a restuarant where Elgins sister and her fried are there. After some time,Rashann (Lil' Fizz) shows up and tells them that Lil' Saint (Malcolm David Kelley), the youngest member of the crew, was shot during a drive-by shooting. They rush over to the hospital, after a few minutes, a doctor tells the gang that Lil' Saint died a few hours ago. Rico who was like a brother to him and took care of Lil' Saint , becomes upset.

Rico goes over to Elgin's house and tells him that they should reunite the crew in honor of Lil' Saint. David arrives a few minutes later and is told the same thing, but he and Elgin disagree. Elgin's crew, going by the name "The Lil' Saints", shows up to the finals of the "Big Bounce" competition. Wade Robson and Lil' Kim host the competition. The finals begin, but when they say the winner, they discover there is a tie between "The Lil' Saints" and "Wade's Crew". Both crews decline a tie. Lil' Kim gets an opinion from Mr. Rad, who announces a battle competition, "straight hood," with no rules, even letting other people to join the battling crews. Rico, Rashann and Oscar, a previous member of the crew join in. David walks up to Elgin and asks to let him battle with his crew. Elgin agrees to it which ends their argument and brings them back together their crew. They battle Wade's crew, dedicating the battle to Lil' Saint. They win the battle and the $50,000 prize. Wade and Max walk up to them very upset, saying that it was not fair that they lost. David replies with, "Ya'll just mad, 'cause today, you suckas got served" The show ends with everyone chanting "Served"

You got served had an estimated budget of $8,000,000. The production company’s of the film are, Screen Gems (Also produced "The Medallion", "Obsessed", "The Exorcism Of Emily Rose".) 1. Shiima,

A solid first attempt with strong research and clear attempts to integrate material from this week's lesson.

    To improve:
    - Your 'nu-rave'-esque presentation style is somewhat distracting! Make sure the font does not obscure your words!
    - Your spelling, punctuation and grammar are inconsistent - there is a spell check function on the blog, please use it.
    - Ensure you complete all elements of the task. Section 3 lacked detail in terms of which countries the film was distributed in and you should also have included some discussion on horizontal/vertical integration.

A solid first impression but please take note of the feedback and correct in your next piece of work.
